Bobby Mackey’s Music World

Finally, the building was turned into the popular bar and dance club that it is today. Bobby and Janet Mackey purchased the building in the spring of 1978 with the intention of turning it into a country bar. Mackey was a well-known as a singer in northern Kentucky and had recorded several albums. He actually scrapped his plans to record in Nashville in order to renovate the old tavern. Once the bar was opened up, it immediately began to attract a crowd. 

Despite a number of years success with the place though, the good times have never been able to erase the “taint” caused by the history of murder and death. The hauntings at Bobby Mackey�s Music World remain stained with blood.

In Louisville, Kentucky, there is a place that is very famous for being haunted. The location is frequented by many visitors who tour the area to see if the stories they have heard are true. There are sponsored tours and ghost hunting activities that people can join. A number of TV shows that feature paranormal and mystical topics have also gone to the area in order to investigate or experience the ghosts and other unexplained phenomena that happen there. The place is called The Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Others simply refer to it as Waverly Hills. It was a hospital in the past that treated patients who had tuberculosis.

1.) 100 Step Cemetery

The legend differs depending on who you ask or where you read it. But, basically the story goes that you should be able to go up and down these steps and count 100 both ways. If you don’t, you are going to die soon. Some people believe that when you get to the top the original caretaker of the grounds will show you your death. Some people also believe that if you try to go up the hill without using the stairs, a phantom hand will push you down the hill! Spooky!
